| Orel Hershiser (CG, 2 H, 10 K) took a no-hitter into the 7th before surrendering the only two hits of the day to the Mets. Franklin Stubbs (1-4, HR, 2 RBI) provided all the offense the Dodgers would need with a 2-run HR in the 1st. Steve Sax added two hits for the Dodgers.
| Player of the Game: Orel Hershiser Another stellar pitching performance led the way to a win. This time it was the Mets David Cone (8.0, 3 H, R) that did the honors. Cone gave up a lead-off HR to Mike Marshall (1-4, HR, RBI) in the 2nd, but would only allow two more hits the rest of the way. The Mets took the lead for good in the 5th on a 2-run single by Greg Jeffries (1-3, 2 RBI). Keith Hernandez's (1-3, 2B, RBI) sacrifice fly in the 1st provided the other Mets run.

| Because of a rain out the day before, Orel Hershiser was able to throw again, and he threw another gem. The only chink's in Hershiser's armor was a RBI double by Mookie Wilson (1-4, 2B, RBI) in the 3rd and a solo HR by Kevin Elster (1-1, HR, RBI) in the 5th. The Dodgers hit just enough to edge New York. John Shelby's (1-4, RBI) single in the 1st started the scoring and a they took the lead for good in the 5th on a sacrifice fly by Mickey Hatcher and on a four base error by Darryl Strawberry. Steve Sax and Mike Marshall had two hits each for the Dodgers.
| Player of the Game: Orel Hershiser (8.0, 2 H, 2 R, 7 K) John Tudor continued the dominance by Dodgers pitching, going the route to win it for L.A. Tudor started with 4.2 no-hit innings and his only blemish was an RBI single by Gary Carter (1-3, RBI) in the 7th. The Dodgers offense was provided by a two-run HR by Jeff Hamilton (1-4, HR, 2 RBI) in the 6th and a three-run shot by Rick Dempsey (2-3, 2B, HR, 3 RBI) in the 8th.

| Another game, another dominated performance by a Dodger pitcher. This time, Tim Belcher did the job. For the 4th time in the series, the Mets were held to three or fewer hits. Belcher had a stretch in which he retired 12 in a row. Kirk Gibson's (2-3, HR, 2 RBI) 2-run HR in the 1st was all the Dodgers would need. Mickey Hatcher (1-4, HR, RBI) would add a solo homer of his own in the 5th. Rick Dempsey chipped in 2 hits. Keith Hernandez (1-3, HR, RBI) provided the Mets with their only run.
| Player of the Game: Tim Belcher (8.0, 2 H, R, 9 K) Series MVP: Orel Hershiser (2-0, 1.06 ERA, 17 IP, 4 H, 17 K)
