Back-to-back homers in the eighth by Harper and Mack off reliever Jim Clancy gave the Twins the insurance they needed to finish off the Braves. Starter Jack Morris (4.0, 5 H, 3 R) was ejected in the 5th inning after striking out looking. The Twins bullpen proceded to pitch 7 scoreless innings as the offense rallied, led by Chili Davis, who entered the game in the 7th as a pinch-hitter. Davis tied it in the 9th with a home run off of Alejandro Pena and won it in the 11th with a two run triple. Oxis Nixon had 3 hits in the loss
